Googly Movie Review

Yash, the Rocking Star of Sandalwood, is back with Googly after Yogaraj Bhat's superhit movie Drama. He has joined hands with director Pawan Wadeyar of Govindaya Namaha fame, the factor which generates more expectations from audience on the project. Well, these things would pull the audience to the theatres in the first weekend but the success, as always, depends on the quality of the product. Now, without wasting time, I'm getting into the serious business - reviewing. Googly is a romantic comedy movie targeted mainly towards youths and Yash fans. The film has a good comedy scenes, lively story and good performances from the lead stars. But the drawback is, it appears like the movie caters to the specific age groups and people. Nonetheless, entertainment is guaranteed all through the movie. Hero is injured and he is admitted to hospital by a girl named Swathi (Kriti Kharbhanda), who is into tears looking at him, in Mangalore. Soon we are told that he is a business tycoon Sharath (Yash). But he needs blood, and she decides to donate her blood in order to save him. A flashback opens up with the heroine, a medical student, coming to Bangalore to participate in the World Economic Form. We are told that Yash doesn't like girls, but believes in love. However, he pretends as if he hates love. While the girls ignore him for the same, Swathi likes his strange behaviour and starts liking him. As expected, he too falls in love. Both of them delay to confess their love. However, the story takes a twist when the hero sees his leading lady talking to other person. This creates a difference and they part ways. The remaining part answers how they come together again.





Surprising Googlies Director Pavan Wadeyar has blended comedy with various commercial elements to churn out a good love story. More importantly, there are enough surprising googlies in the movie. He has written wonderful one-liners, which would definitely go well with youths.

 Full marks To Yash Full marks to Yash, who has come out with flying colours. His acting is simply brilliant and he wins the audience heart with his wonderful comedy timings. His dancing and fights add value to the project. Well, is he getting typecast? Well, let the audience decide it. His co-star Kriti Kharbanda tries her best to match him up.

Technical Not only the hero, but even audience will fall in love with her for her cute expressions and smiles. Her chemistry works well with Yash. Ananth Nag, as always, does justice to his role. Technically, the movie is good. Two songs of the movie are nice to hear and background score by Anoop Selin is praiseworthy.

Verdict: Verdict: Googly for those who are young at heart and who love this genre movies.
